Ta płyta powstała przez przypadek. Przed pandemią kilka razy próbowałem zrobić dobre, selektywne nagranie hejnału mariackiego, ale okazało się to niemożliwe. Zwykle było za dużo dźwięków przeszkadzających – w ciągu dnia turyści, w nocy klubowicze, rano imprezowe niedobitki, potem służby sprzątające i dostawcy sklepowi.
W czasie pandemii temat nagle we mnie odżył. Po nagraniu hejnału zacząłem jeździć po mieście i nagrywać miejsca zazwyczaj pełne ludzi, które teraz okazywały się bardzo ciche. Mam nawet dość śmiałą teorię, że nigdy wcześniej w historii fonografii Kraków nie był tak cichy.
Nazwy utworów to współrzędne długości i szerokości geograficznej gdzie miejsc, w których były robione nagrania.
This album came about by accident. Before the pandemic, I tried several times to make a good, selective recording of St. Mary’s bugle call, but it proved impossible. Usually, there were too many distracting sounds – tourists during the day, clubbers at night, the remnants of partygoers in the morning, and then cleaning staff and shop delivery drivers.
During the pandemic, the topic suddenly revived within me. After recording the bugle call, I started driving around the city and recording places usually full of people, which now turned out to be very quiet. I even have a rather bold theory that never before in the history of recording has Krakow been so quiet.
The track names are the longitude and latitude coordinates of the locations where the recordings were made.
